Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness
Introduction
Good mental health is an important part of employee well-being. In this four hour course, participants will learn the skills and knowledge they need to deal with a mental health emergency in the workplace. On successful completion participants will achieve the QNUK Level 1 Award in Mental Health Awareness.
Target audience
This qualification is aimed at those in a work environment who may be required to recognise and communicate appropriately with people at work who have a mental health concern.
The qualification is aimed at people 18 years of age and over.
Delivery model
This qualification is typically delivered on a face-to-face basis. Learners must have completed the full qualification within two weeks of Session 1. Where sessions are delivered over a number of weeks, each session will last for a minimum of two hours.

When courses are combined, a suitable scheme of work will be developed to ensure learning outcomes and assessment criteria are covered in full and that sufficient time is available for teaching, consolidation, formative assessment, and summative assessment.
Duration: 4 Hours
Participation: Maximum of 12 participants to one instructor
Certification: Learners who complete this course will receive a Safety Mental Health First Aid Certificate from Corrib Training.
